Tel Aviv Fears Trump’s Pressure to Move to Second Phase of Gaza Ceasefire Without Hamas Disarmament

Israeli media sources report concerns that US President Donald Trump may push for advancing to the second phase of the Gaza agreement without requiring Hamas to disarm, ahead of Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming meeting with the American leader.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli broadcasting authorities have expressed concerns that US President Donald Trump could pressure for moving to the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement without securing Hamas’s disarmament. The reports emerged ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s scheduled meeting with Trump, where the next stages of the agreement are expected to be discussed.

Israeli media estimates suggest the second phase would commence following the Netanyahu-Trump meeting. However, sources claim this phase won’t begin until the remains of the last captive are repatriated, indicating potential sticking points in the negotiation process.
