Iraqi Prime Minister Rejects Normalization, Emphasizes National Unity

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stated that normalization is not in the vocabulary of the Iraqi people, reaffirming the country’s commitment to unity and stability during a Christmas Eve speech.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has firmly rejected the concept of normalization, declaring it absent from the lexicon of the Iraqi people. Speaking during a Christmas Eve service at Mar Yousef Church, al-Sudani emphasized Iraq’s unity and its role as a cohesive society.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the celebration of Christ’s birth underscores the strength of Iraq’s diverse social fabric. He reiterated his government’s unwavering efforts to protect and promote symbols of national unity.

Al-Sudani further noted Iraq’s ongoing work to solidify its position as a stabilizing force in the region, dismissing any notion of normalization as incompatible with the nation’s values.
