Israeli Citizen Arrested for Allegedly Filming Former PM Bennett’s Residence

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli internal security service Shin Bet and police have detained a resident of Rishon LeZion on suspicion of collaborating with Iranian intelligence. The suspect, identified as Vadim Kubyanov, allegedly conducted surveillance near former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s home in Ra’anana.
A published indictment claims Kubyanov communicated with a foreign agent linked to Iran through Telegram after responding to a recruitment ad for a supposed marketing project. Authorities allege he performed various tasks for financial compensation, including filming shopping centers, documenting product prices, and obtaining SIM cards for tourists.
The most sensitive alleged operation involved installing a 24-hour recording device in a vehicle and driving near Bennett’s residence. Shin Bet states the suspect transmitted live footage of the street and home entrance before leaving the area after failing to find parking. The case is currently under review at the Lod District Court.
