Turkey Arrests 115 ISIS Suspects Plotting Attacks During Christmas and New Year Celebrations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced on X that Turkish security forces arrested 115 suspects tied to the terrorist group ISIS. The individuals were allegedly plotting attacks in Turkey, particularly targeting non-Muslims, during the year-end holiday season.
The prosecutor’s office stated that Istanbul police conducted simultaneous raids across 124 locations, apprehending 115 out of 137 targeted suspects. Authorities also seized several handguns and ammunition during the operations.
The arrests followed intelligence reports indicating ISIS members were actively planning attacks in Turkey to coincide with Christmas and New Year celebrations. The operations underscore Turkey’s continued efforts to combat terrorist threats within its borders.
