North Korea’s Leader Orders Increased Missile and Ammunition Production for 2026

Kim Jong Un has directed a boost in missile and ammunition production for 2026, citing future demands and the needs of the country’s missile and artillery forces, during an inspection of key military-industrial sites.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered an increase in missile and ammunition production for 2026, emphasizing the anticipated demands of the nation’s missile and artillery forces. The directive came during his field inspection of major military and industrial facilities, where he reviewed production progress in the final quarter of 2025.

Kim Jong Un stated that production plans for 2026 must be expanded based on projected requirements. He also praised the successful execution of the 2025 production targets by the country’s defense industries. During the visit, he signed documents related to modernization plans for the defense sector, which are expected to be presented at the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Additionally, the North Korean leader oversaw the test-firing process of a new generation of anti-aircraft missiles, as reported by the Korean Central News Agency.
