15 Injured in Knife and Chemical Attack at Japanese Tire Factory

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a violent attack at a tire manufacturing plant in Shizuoka Prefecture, west of Tokyo, left 15 people injured. Japanese authorities reported that a 38-year-old man was arrested after stabbing eight individuals and exposing seven to a chemical substance.
The incident occurred at a facility employing nearly 1,000 workers, which produces tires for passenger vehicles. The injured were transported to hospitals, with five of the stabbing victims in critical condition, according to the Fujisan Nanto Fire Department.
Police in Shizuoka Prefecture confirmed the suspect’s arrest on attempted murder charges but have not released further details about the motive or circumstances surrounding the attack.
