Maduro Accuses U.S. of Targeting Venezuela for Its Natural Resources

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro asserts that U.S. aggression against his country is driven by a desire to plunder its oil, gold, and rare metals, not by opposition to his leadership.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has accused the United States of escalating tensions with Venezuela not because of his government but due to the country’s vast natural resources, including oil, gold, and rare metals. Maduro emphasized that Venezuela’s wealth is the real target of U.S. actions.

Maduro stated that Venezuela’s message is one of peace, love, and mutual understanding. He expressed willingness to engage in dialogue with the U.S. if it is based on respect, adding that he represents the Venezuelan people and extends a hand of friendship.

The Venezuelan leader also claimed that the U.S. has failed in its attempts to impose a colonialist model to exploit Venezuela’s natural resources. He highlighted the competence of individuals within Venezuela who are capable of guiding the country on the right path.

Maduro further noted that the U.S. has been unsuccessful in its reliance on opposition figures such as Leopoldo Lopez, Juan Guaido, and Maria Corina Machado. He affirmed that Venezuela will continue on its path with its people and achieve significant success in the coming years.

In closing, Maduro reiterated Venezuela’s message of peace, love, and mutual understanding, stating that Venezuela is ready for dialogue if the U.S. approaches with respect.
