Former Syrian Military Officials Plan Operations Against Jolani Regime, NYT Reports

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, former Syrian military officials, now stationed in Russia and Lebanon, are orchestrating military operations against the Jolani regime. The New York Times, citing sources and intercepted communications, revealed that these efforts include high-ranking ex-generals such as Suheil al-Hassan, former commander of Bashar al-Assad’s special forces, and Kamal al-Hassan, ex-head of military intelligence.
The report indicates that Suheil al-Hassan commands approximately 168,000 troops in Syria, many of whom possess military equipment. Rami Makhlouf, a close associate of Bashar al-Assad, is also supporting these efforts. The fall of Assad’s regime has not diminished the influence of these military and security leaders but has instead allowed them to regroup abroad and plan strategic moves against Jolani’s faction.
Since Jolani and his affiliates rose to power, Syria has witnessed increased violence, including killings, looting, and other atrocities across various regions.
