Israel Investigates Reported Hack of Netanyahu’s Chief of Staff’s Phone

Israeli authorities are examining reports that the phone of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s chief of staff was hacked by the cyber group ‘Handala,’ which claims to have accessed encrypted communications and sensitive data.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media sources, citing an official from the Prime Minister’s office, reported that authorities are investigating claims that the phone of Tzachi Braverman, Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was hacked. The cyber group ‘Handala’ announced on X (formerly Twitter) that it had compromised Braverman’s iPhone 16 Pro Max, gaining access to encrypted conversations, hidden transactions, and compromising financial and moral misconduct.

Handala stated it had infiltrated Israeli security systems for years, claiming possession of sensitive data that could expose corruption within the Israeli regime. The group directly addressed Netanyahu, warning that Braverman’s ‘double life’ and secrets linking the government to systemic corruption were on the verge of being revealed.
