Iraqi Lawmaker Demands Full Withdrawal of Turkish Forces from Iraqi Territory

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Parliament member Mukhtar al-Mousavi has urged the country’s incoming government to work toward the full expulsion of Turkish military forces from Iraqi soil. Al-Mousavi emphasized that Turkey’s military presence constitutes a violation of Iraq’s national sovereignty and must be resolved swiftly.
The lawmaker stated that the deployment of Turkish troops in Iraq is unjustifiable and contravenes international law. He stressed that the new Iraqi administration should make this issue a top priority.
Al-Mousavi warned that the continued presence of Turkish forces threatens Iraq’s internal security and stability. He argued that removing these troops would prevent foreign interference in Iraq’s domestic affairs.
