Russia Seeks U.S. Cooperation to Resolve Ukraine Crisis as Europe Shows No Interest in Peace Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced on Sunday that Russia is seeking cooperation with the United States to address the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Lavrov expressed appreciation for the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump and his team in pursuing a peaceful resolution, emphasizing Moscow’s goal of continued collaboration with American negotiators to establish lasting agreements addressing the root causes of the conflict.
Lavrov further noted that neither Ukraine nor European countries have demonstrated a real willingness to engage in constructive peace talks. He asserted that following the change in the U.S. administration, the European Union has now become the primary obstacle to peace.
The Russian Foreign Minister also commented on the new U.S. National Security Strategy, describing it as naturally subject to comprehensive analysis. While the core principles require practical testing, Lavrov acknowledged that the strategy appears innovative at first glance. Experts suggest it may signal Washington’s reassessment of its global role.
