Syrian Alawite Council Condemns Joulani Forces’ Violence Against Protesters

The Islamic Council of Syrian Alawites has denounced the violent crackdown on unarmed civilians by Joulani forces, calling it a blatant violation of human rights and international law.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Council of Syrian Alawites has issued a statement condemning the use of violence against defenseless civilians in Syria. The council described the recent events as a “flagrant and explicit violation” of human laws and international treaties that guarantee the right to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.

The council emphasized that the Syrian regime has revealed its repressive nature to the world by confronting unarmed civilians, who took to the streets to demand their legitimate rights, with terrorism and intimidation. It stated that the violent response to peaceful protesters constitutes a clear breach of humanitarian principles and international law, with responsibility lying solely on those who carried out such oppressive measures.

The Islamic Council of Syrian Alawites urged people to return to their homes for their safety and security. However, it clarified that this call does not mean relinquishing their “legitimate rights” and affirmed its commitment to continuing lawful and peaceful demands.
