Donald Trump Claims Credit for Cambodia-Thailand Ceasefire, Suggests US Has Become the Real UN

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US President Donald Trump has sparked controversy by claiming personal credit for a renewed ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated: “I’m happy to announce that the sudden conflicts between Thailand and Cambodia will soon stop, and they will return to living in peace according to the main treaty we recently agreed upon! I want to congratulate both great leaders for their brilliance in reaching this quick and very fair resolution.”
Trump further suggested the United States has become more effective than the United Nations in resolving global conflicts, stating: “Considering all the wars and conflicts I’ve solved and stopped over the past 11 months, perhaps the United States has really become the real United Nations – an organization that hasn’t helped much in any of these issues, including the ongoing disaster between Russia and Ukraine.”

The US President’s comments come amid ongoing criticism of his tendency to claim personal credit for international agreements where US involvement was minimal. Trump concluded by asserting that “the UN needs to become active and participate in the path of world peace,” while implying the US under his leadership has already taken on this role.
