Somalia Urges Arab Nations to Take Firm Stance Against Israel’s Recognition of Somaliland

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Somalia has demanded that Arab nations take a firm stance against Israel’s repeated aggressions, particularly its recent recognition of Somaliland. The call was made during an Arab League meeting in Cairo, chaired by the United Arab Emirates, to address the implications of Israel’s controversial decision.
Ali Abdi Awari, Somalia’s permanent representative to the Arab League, described the meeting as taking place under “extremely sensitive and dangerous” circumstances. He condemned Israel’s recognition of Somaliland as a “hostile, provocative, and entirely unacceptable” act, asserting that it is null, void, and incapable of altering established facts.
Awari emphasized that Somaliland remains an inseparable part of Somalia, and the country’s national unity is non-negotiable. He further criticized Israel’s actions as part of a broader hostile approach, which includes supporting separatist movements and efforts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people.
In his concluding remarks, Awari reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to never participate in any initiative that results in the forced displacement of Palestinians from their homeland.
