Mauritania Condemns Israel’s Recognition of Somaliland as Threat to Regional Security

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mauritania‘s Foreign Ministry issued a strongly worded statement condemning Israel’s decision to recognize Somaliland as an independent country. The ministry described the move as a grave violation of the sovereignty and unity of independent nations, warning that it could directly threaten regional and international security and peace.
The ministry emphasized that such actions are unacceptable and called on the international community to take measures to preserve regional stability and respect the rights of sovereign states.
On Friday, the Zionist regime officially recognized Somaliland, a breakaway region of Somalia, as an independent country. Gideon Sa’ar, the Foreign Minister of the Zionist regime, announced that the regime and Somaliland had signed an agreement to establish full diplomatic relations, including the appointment of ambassadors and the opening of embassies.
Sa’ar stated that the agreement followed a year of negotiations. Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, invited Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, the leader of Somaliland’s separatists, to visit the occupied territories during a video conference call.
