Egypt Reaffirms Red Line on Palestinian Issue, Opposes Forced Displacement

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasized Cairo’s cooperation with Hamas and other Palestinian groups on Gaza ceasefire efforts, while reiterating President Sisi’s stance against the displacement of Palestinians as a red line.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty stated that Egypt maintains communication and coordination with Hamas and other Palestinian factions to lay the groundwork for transitioning to the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire. Abdelatty stressed that the displacement of Palestinians remains a red line drawn by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, affirming that Egypt will never participate in any injustice against the Palestinian people. The country opposes both forced and voluntary displacement of Palestinians. The minister noted that Israel is fully aware of Egypt’s principles regarding the Palestinian issue. Cairo also insists that the Rafah border crossing must be opened from both sides, not just one.
