Israeli forces abruptly opened water channels in Gaza’s Wadi area, inundating Palestinian displacement camps and destroying tents amid heavy rainfall and cold weather.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, local sources reported that Zionist occupiers suddenly opened water channels in Gaza‘s Wadi region early today, unleashing massive floodwaters toward Palestinian displacement camps. The deliberate act, carried out without prior warning, submerged tents and destroyed shelters where displaced families reside.
Witnesses confirmed that the flooding, compounded by ongoing heavy rains and freezing temperatures, has exacerbated the suffering of Palestinians already enduring harsh conditions in dilapidated tents. Earlier reports indicated that rainfall in Gaza had already left many displacement camps waterlogged before the additional flooding caused by the channel opening.
