Cultural Hegemony Battle Intensifies as Resistance Front Challenges Western Narratives

The Resistance Front is waging a Gramscian-style cultural war to establish a counter-hegemonic narrative, challenging the dominance of Western individualism and liberalism, according to an analysis by international relations expert Somayeh Chiti.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a new front in the global ideological struggle has emerged as the Resistance Front engages in a long-term battle for cultural and ideological leadership. Drawing from Antonio Gramsci’s theory of hegemony, the movement seeks to establish an alternative cultural dominance rooted in collective values, spirituality, and anti-imperialism, challenging the Western liberal order.

Gramsci’s framework explains how dominant groups maintain power not just through force but by shaping societal common sense through institutions like education, media, and religion. The Western model, centered on extreme individualism and secular liberalism, now faces significant challenges as the Resistance Front develops parallel institutions and discourses.

Key strategies include creating alternative narratives emphasizing sovereignty, collective priorities over individualism, and spiritual values. The movement utilizes educational systems, media networks, and religious digital spaces to disseminate this worldview, while cultivating organic intellectuals who articulate this vision from within their communities.

This cultural offensive represents an attempt to redefine fundamental concepts like progress, freedom, and justice, positioning them within an anti-hegemonic framework. The emerging cultural hegemony aims to foster regional and transnational influence, potentially laying foundations for a multipolar world order based on different values.
