Russia Sets Three Key Conditions for Resolving Ukraine Crisis

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has emphasized that Russia has three principal conditions for resolving the Ukraine crisis, which it considers foundational to any political solution. Lavrov stated that Kyiv and its Western backers must formally recognize the current territorial status of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Sevastopol, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. Additionally, he called for legally binding security guarantees to address the root causes of the conflict and prevent its recurrence, as well as to ensure Ukraine’s neutrality. Lavrov further insisted that Ukraine must not join any military alliance, remain free of nuclear and offensive weapons, and refrain from hosting NATO military activities on its soil.
Lavrov asserted that the Russian military holds full strategic initiative, a fact well understood by the West. He reiterated that Moscow’s objectives in its special military operation would be achieved through both political and military channels. Russia also demands the conduct of elections in Ukraine as part of the resolution process.
