Alarm Bells for Tel Aviv as Population Growth Hits Record Low in Occupied Territories

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a recent report by the Zionist newspaper The Jerusalem Post has revealed a historic low in population growth within the occupied territories. Research conducted by the Taub Center indicates that while the average population growth in these areas had rarely declined since the 1950s, 2025 marks the first time the figure has fallen below 1%. Only around 100,000 new residents were added this year, compared to previous growth rates of at least 1.5%.
The report attributes this decline to a surge in reverse migration, with more Zionists leaving the occupied territories than arriving. Experts cite economic conditions, labor market challenges, and the political climate as key factors driving this trend. Additionally, escalating insecurity following successful resistance operations and the fallout from the two-year war on Gaza have further accelerated the exodus.
