Somaliland Leader to Visit Occupied Territories Following Israel’s Recognition

Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullah, leader of the breakaway region of Somaliland, is set to make an official visit to the occupied territories next month after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended the invitation during a video conference.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the leader of the breakaway region of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullah, is preparing for an official visit to the occupied territories next month. The trip follows an invitation from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a recent video conference call.

This development comes after the Zionist regime officially recognized Somaliland as an independent state last Friday. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar announced that the two sides have signed an agreement to establish full diplomatic relations, including the exchange of ambassadors and the opening of embassies.

Sa’ar stated that the agreement resulted from a year of negotiations. The international community has widely opposed and rejected Israel’s decision to recognize Somaliland.

In response, thousands of Somali citizens took to the streets of Mogadishu on Tuesday, protesting against the Zionist regime’s recognition of Somaliland. Demonstrators gathered at a stadium in the capital, waving Somali and Palestinian flags while chanting slogans condemning Israel’s decision and emphasizing Somali unity.

One protester declared, “Do not believe the lies of the criminal whose hands are stained with blood; he has killed the Palestinian people.” The protests reflect widespread public outrage and strong opposition to Israel’s actions, with tensions expected to escalate further in the Horn of Africa region.
