Trump Orders Withdrawal of National Guard from Multiple U.S. Cities

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that the National Guard will be withdrawn from Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland. The troops were initially deployed to address rising crime and civil unrest in these cities.
Trump had previously ordered the deployment of National Guard forces to certain U.S. regions, citing concerns over injustice and criminal activity. However, local officials argue that the presence of the National Guard has exacerbated tensions rather than restoring order.
In a recent statement, Trump criticized the Los Angeles Police Department, claiming they lacked the assertiveness of military personnel. Meanwhile, he warned that the National Guard could be redeployed to New York City if necessary.
This announcement comes as The Washington Post reported on October 31, 2025, that the U.S. government has extended the National Guard’s mission in Washington, D.C., through February 2026.
