Hamas Leader Rejects Disarmament Talks Amid Israeli Ceasefire Violations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Osama Hamdan, a leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), stated that the Israeli regime has deliberately disrupted humanitarian operations and blocked aid deliveries to Gaza, a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement. Hamdan emphasized that talking about Hamas disarming while Israel fails to meet its obligations is futile and unrealistic.
He further criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks during Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit, framing them as part of America’s longstanding biased stance toward Israel. Hamdan urged the U.S. government to pressure Israel to fully implement its ceasefire commitments, including allowing aid and fuel into Gaza and reopening the Rafah crossing from both sides.
Hamdan noted that mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey are intensifying efforts to engage Washington in holding Israel accountable. He also accused Israel of seeking to displace Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank, despite their refusal to leave their homeland despite what he described as genocidal crimes. The Hamas leader condemned Israel’s recognition of Somaliland as part of Tel Aviv’s alleged plans to empty Palestinian territories.
Hamdan concluded by asserting that Hamas faces no leadership vacuum, with a council of five figures managing the movement’s affairs.
