Saudi Arabia Closes UAE’s Yemen File Amid Rising Tensions in the Region

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s official television announced via social media platform X that the Arab coalition has closed the UAE’s Yemen file one day before the year’s end. The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated in a recent declaration that the UAE’s actions in Yemen are highly dangerous and fall outside the framework of the Arab coalition. Saudi Arabia demanded the immediate withdrawal of Emirati military forces from Yemen within 24 hours and emphasized the need to halt all military and financial support to internal factions.
In a related development, the European Union expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in eastern Yemen, particularly following the Saudi-led coalition’s airstrikes on areas supported by the UAE. The EU spokesperson called for de-escalation and urged all parties to avoid actions that further threaten Yemen’s stability and the broader region. The spokesperson highlighted that recent events in Yemen’s Hadhramaut and Al Mahra provinces pose new risks to the Persian Gulf region. The EU reaffirmed its commitment to Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
