Israeli Regime’s Crimes Against Palestinian Prisoners: Over 323 Deaths Since 1967

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Palestinian prisoner organizations have disclosed alarming statistics regarding the treatment of detainees in Israeli prisons. Since 1967, 323 Palestinian prisoners have died in custody, with over 9,300 individuals currently held in Israeli detention facilities. The exact number of detainees in the regime’s camps remains unclear.
Among the prisoners, 49 women and 350 children are currently incarcerated, though precise data on child detainees from Gaza is unavailable. Additionally, over 3,350 administrative detainees are held in Israeli prisons, including 15 women and dozens of children.
The report highlights that 1,220 Gaza residents, classified as “unlawful combatants” by the Israeli regime, are detained under a special law. Since the onset of the aggression on Gaza, over 100 prisoners have died in Israeli prisons and hospitals, with 86 identities confirmed.
Shockingly, the number of prisoner deaths in Gaza over the past two years exceeds 100, equaling the total fatalities recorded over 24 years in Israeli prisons and camps. The Israeli regime still holds the bodies of 94 prisoners, 83 of whom were killed during the Gaza offensive.
Since the start of the Gaza aggression, approximately 21,000 detentions have been recorded, including 1,655 children and 650 women. This figure excludes thousands of unreported arrests in Gaza. In 2025 alone, 32 prisoners, including one child, have died in Israeli custody.
Dozens of Gaza detainees remain subjected to enforced disappearance in Israeli detention centers. Palestinian organizations assert that Israeli prisons have become sites of systematic torture, describing the treatment of prisoners as an organized genocide. Nearly 49% of detainees are held without charge or trial.
