Israeli Regime Launches Airstrikes and Artillery Attacks on Gaza Strip as New Year Begins

The Israeli military conducted multiple airstrikes and artillery bombardments across the Gaza Strip on New Year’s Eve, violating the ceasefire agreement, according to Palestinian sources.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli regime’s military forces carried out a series of airstrikes and artillery attacks on the Gaza Strip as the new year began, marking another violation of the ceasefire agreement. The assaults targeted multiple areas of the coastal enclave throughout the night.

Israeli artillery units shelled eastern areas of the al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City in consecutive barrages. Simultaneously, an attack drone, identified as a quadcopter, fired directly at areas near the al-Sanafour intersection in eastern Gaza City.

Armored vehicles of the Zionist regime also opened fire toward refugee tents along Salah al-Din Street in eastern Gaza City. Continuous gunfire was reported in residential areas of eastern al-Tuffah neighborhood alongside the artillery bombardment.

In southern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles targeted eastern areas of Khan Younis with heavy fire, while Israeli naval vessels launched extensive attacks toward coastal waters near the city. Israeli warplanes also conducted multiple bombing raids on Rafah city in southern Gaza, and another airstrike hit the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, causing powerful explosions.
