Somaliland Separatists Deny Claims of Israeli Conditions for Recognition

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Somaliland separatists have issued a statement denying Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s claims that they accepted Israeli conditions for recognition. The group emphasized that their engagement with the Zionist regime is strictly diplomatic and denied any agreements to host Palestinian refugees or allow Israeli military bases in the region.
President Mohamud, in an interview with Al Jazeera, had accused the separatists of agreeing to three Israeli conditions: accepting Palestinian refugees, establishing an Israeli military base along the Gulf of Aden coast, and joining normalization agreements. He warned that Israel’s actions in Somaliland pose a significant threat to Somalia and the broader region, particularly for Arab and African nations.
The Somaliland separatists, however, dismissed these claims as baseless, asserting that no such negotiations have taken place. The group reiterated that their decades-long push for independence remains unrecognized by any country.
