Somalia’s Minister Condemns Israel’s Plans to Relocate Palestinians and Establish Military Base

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Somalia‘s Information Minister has strongly opposed Israel’s reported intentions to construct a military base in Somaliland and relocate Palestinians to the region. In an interview with Al Jazeera, the minister expressed gratitude for the support of Arab, African, and other nations in maintaining regional stability.
The minister emphasized Somalia’s firm stance against any plans to displace Palestinians, reiterating unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their right to an independent state. Earlier, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud highlighted that the Somaliland separatist issue dates back three decades and remains unrecognized by any country.
President Mohamud revealed that Somaliland separatists have allegedly agreed to three conditions set by the Zionist regime for recognition: accepting Palestinian refugees, establishing an Israeli military base along the Gulf of Aden, and joining normalization agreements. He warned that Israel’s actions pose significant dangers to Somalia and the broader Muslim world, accusing Tel Aviv of seeking control over the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, which threatens regional trade routes and maritime security.
