Hezbollah Official Vows to Maintain Military Readiness Against Israeli Aggression

Hezbollah’s deputy political chief Mahmoud Qmati has declared the group will not disarm amid ongoing Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty, warning that any buffer zone plan by Israel would constitute reoccupation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mahmoud Qmati, Deputy Head of Hezbollah‘s Political Council, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the group will never allow continued Israeli aggression on Lebanese soil and will not compromise its military capabilities under current circumstances.

Qmati emphasized that the Zionist regime’s persistent violations of Lebanon’s borders are unacceptable, asserting that defensive strength remains the country’s red line. The Hezbollah official called for intra-Lebanese dialogue to address national challenges and protect the nation against Israeli occupation.

“We will not surrender our weapons as long as Israeli aggression continues,” Qmati declared, condemning Israel’s efforts to establish a buffer zone along the border as a form of reoccupation. He warned that the Lebanese government’s compliance with foreign directives would effectively abandon southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah has consistently emphasized maintaining Lebanon’s defensive capabilities and preparedness against potential Israeli attacks in recent years. Recent tensions along Lebanon’s southern border and limited Israeli military actions have heightened concerns about escalating conflict in the region.
