Russian Security Council Deputy Chair Condemns US Military Operation in Venezuela, Calls It Another Step Toward Nobel Prize

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia‘s Security Council, has strongly criticized the US military intervention in Venezuela, which included the abduction of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. Medvedev asserted that a robust nuclear arsenal is the sole reliable safeguard for a nation’s security, emphasizing that the events in Caracas demonstrate the necessity for countries to strengthen their armed forces and prevent constitutional overthrows by wealthy and audacious individuals.
Medvedev further remarked that the situation in Venezuela is a clear example of the US’s so-called ‘peacemaking’ claims. He highlighted the intense military operations conducted in an independent country that posed no threat to the United States.
In a sarcastic tone, Medvedev suggested that President Donald Trump should have directed the same level of effort elsewhere, noting that ‘trained Ukrainian animals’ have spiraled out of control and no longer heed their circus master. He doubted that the Venezuelan example would awaken them, adding that it would have been preferable for the US to target military bases in ‘bandit-ridden’ Ukraine instead.
Mocking Trump’s well-known aspiration for a Nobel Peace Prize, Medvedev described the US actions in Venezuela as ‘another brilliant step toward the Nobel Prize.’
