Trump Announces Maduro’s Transfer to New York Following Capture

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro has been captured and will be transported to New York, detailing the operation’s execution and future plans for Venezuela.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump revealed in an interview with Fox News that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has been captured and is being transferred to New York. Trump stated he watched the arrest on television and had previously warned Maduro to surrender. The operation, executed under optimal conditions, resulted in minimal casualties among U.S. forces.

Trump emphasized that the mission, initially planned four days earlier, was delayed due to unfavorable weather. Maduro was apprehended in a fortified compound, and the U.S. was prepared for such a scenario. The president asserted that the U.S. cannot risk allowing another leader to continue Maduro’s legacy in Venezuela and is actively involved in determining the country’s future leadership, including evaluating opposition figure María Corina Machado.

Trump also hinted at U.S. interests in Venezuela’s oil sector, stating that China, which maintains good relations with the U.S., would continue to receive oil supplies. He warned Maduro’s loyalists of a “dark future” if they continue supporting him and reiterated a hardline stance on drug-related issues, citing significant annual U.S. losses.
