US Secretary of State Rubio Accuses Cuba of Colluding with Maduro, Warns Havana

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio claimed Cuba is colluding with Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and warned Havana of consequences, during a press conference with President Trump and senior officials.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Cuba of colluding with Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and issued a warning to Havana during a joint press conference with President Donald Trump, the Secretary of Defense, and other senior US officials. Rubio asserted that Maduro, who was indicted in the US in 2022, is not Venezuela’s legitimate president and is evading justice.

Rubio’s remarks, reflecting Washington’s aggressive stance, emphasized that Maduro had numerous opportunities but failed to act on them. He framed recent developments as a clear message: “No one should play games with President Trump,” adding that Trump is a decisive leader who takes action rather than just speaking.

The US official further criticized Cuba, calling it an “economic disaster” on the verge of collapse and alleging that Havana’s regime has conspired with Maduro’s government. President Trump echoed Rubio’s claims, labeling Cuba a “failed state” and pledging US support for the Cuban people.
