Venezuelans Continue Protests Against US Military Attack

Massive demonstrations have erupted across Venezuela, including the capital Caracas, in response to a US military strike ordered by President Donald Trump, with protesters chanting support for President Nicolas Maduro.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, widespread protests have engulfed Venezuela following a US military attack on the South American nation. Russian television network RT reported that demonstrators flooded the capital Caracas and other cities, with crowds shouting “Maduro, resist! The people have risen!”

Al Mayadeen’s Venezuela correspondent noted that stringent security measures were implemented in Caracas prior to the demonstrations. The protests come after US forces, acting on President Trump’s orders, launched airstrikes against Venezuelan territory yesterday in violation of international law. Reports indicate that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were forcibly taken by American military personnel during the operation.
