Venezuelans Continue Protests Against US Military Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, widespread protests have engulfed Venezuela following a US military attack on the South American nation. Russian television network RT reported that demonstrators flooded the capital Caracas and other cities, with crowds shouting “Maduro, resist! The people have risen!”
Al Mayadeen’s Venezuela correspondent noted that stringent security measures were implemented in Caracas prior to the demonstrations. The protests come after US forces, acting on President Trump’s orders, launched airstrikes against Venezuelan territory yesterday in violation of international law. Reports indicate that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were forcibly taken by American military personnel during the operation.
