Russia’s Envoy Reports Calm in Caracas Amid Threats of Further Attacks

The Russian Ambassador to Venezuela confirmed that the situation in Caracas remains calm and under control, despite potential threats of further attacks, following the recent U.S. military action.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov stated that the capital remains calm and fully under the control of authorities. He confirmed that the Russian embassy and its representations in Venezuela were unharmed in the recent attack.

Bagdasarov emphasized that no Russian citizens were among the casualties or injured. The embassy continues to monitor the situation closely, operating around the clock and maintaining constant communication with Moscow, the Venezuelan government, and law enforcement agencies, which are coordinating their efforts. Security measures have also been intensified.

The ambassador urged the public not to panic, avoid crowded places, and stay away from military, energy, and communication facilities that could be targeted in further attacks.

The U.S. launched an attack on Venezuela on Friday night, abducting the country’s president and his wife. Several nations have condemned Washington’s actions as violations of the U.N. Charter and international law. As Washington threatens broader attacks on Caracas, Venezuela’s vice president has reaffirmed resistance against U.S. imperialism.
