Iraq’s New Parliament Speaker Honors Martyred Commanders, Stresses National Unity

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq‘s Parliament Speaker Mohsen Al-Mandalawi emphasized the enduring legacy of martyred commanders Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis during a ceremony marking the sixth anniversary of their martyrdom. He stated that their sacrifice paved the way for a new era of victory and reinforced national institutions.
Al-Mandalawi described the commanders’ martyrdom as a national responsibility, noting that their efforts contributed significantly to the establishment of Iraq’s key institutions. He urged the preservation of these achievements as a collective national duty.
The Speaker highlighted the ceremony’s role in fostering unity and prioritizing Iraq’s supreme national interests. He also stressed adherence to constitutional timelines for forming a new government, calling on political leaders to embrace dialogue and wisdom to ensure stability and reform.
