North Korea Condemns US Military Intervention in Venezuela as ‘Grave Sovereignty Violation’

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, North Korea has issued a sharp rebuke against the United States for its military intervention in Venezuela, which led to the abduction of the country’s lawfully elected President Nicolas Maduro and his wife to New York. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) described the US operation as the “most dangerous form of aggression against sovereignty.”
The North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Sunday local time that a spokesperson for the DPRK’s Foreign Ministry labeled the US intervention in Venezuela as a “selfish act” that could further destabilize the region amid an already weakened situation.
The statement, released in response to what it called the “brutal violation of Venezuela’s sovereignty” by the US, emphasized that the incident underscores Washington’s reckless and aggressive nature, long observed by the international community.
The DPRK Foreign Ministry spokesperson condemned the US’s “domineering actions in Venezuela as the gravest form of aggression against sovereignty and a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law.” The official urged the international community to recognize the severity of the situation in Venezuela, warning of catastrophic consequences and calling on other nations to protest and denounce the US’s violations of other countries’ sovereignty.
