Egypt and Oman Foreign Ministers Discuss Iran and Regional Tensions in Phone Call

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi held a phone discussion on bilateral relations and efforts to reduce regional tensions, including the Iranian nuclear issue.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty engaged in a phone conversation with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and addressing regional tensions. The talks focused on enhancing cooperation in priority areas to serve the mutual interests of both nations.

Regarding the situation in Gaza, Abdelatty highlighted Cairo’s ongoing efforts to solidify the ceasefire, ensure its continuation, and transition to the next phase of the U.S. President’s plan. He emphasized the need for full humanitarian aid access and creating conditions for early recovery.

Abdelatty also stressed the importance of de-escalation and diplomatic solutions to regional issues, particularly in Yemen, where he called for calm and Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue to resolve the crisis without unilateral actions, aiming for lasting security.

The phone call also addressed developments in Iran’s nuclear dossier. Abdelatty underscored the necessity of continued efforts to build trust, create conditions for diplomatic solutions, and resume negotiations to achieve a comprehensive agreement that ensures regional security and stability.
