Saudi-Backed Forces Warn UAE Proxies to ‘Know Your Limits’ in Yemen’s Hadramout

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi-backed forces in Yemen’s eastern Hadramout province have issued a direct warning to UAE-supported factions amid growing territorial disputes. Salem al-Khanbashi, Governor of Hadramout and commander of the Saudi-backed Homeland Shield forces, stated his troops are permanently stationed in the province and warned Southern Transitional Council (STC) elements to ‘know their limits.’
Al-Khanbashi emphasized the need for decisive action from senior officials to prevent destabilization efforts in Hadramout, revealing that military force was nearly used against STC elements before a last-minute agreement. He described Saudi Arabia’s 24-hour ultimatum for Emirati forces to withdraw as an unequivocal message.
The oil-rich Hadramout province has become a focal point in Yemen’s conflict, with recent Saudi withdrawals and shifting power dynamics favoring the STC. Saudi-affiliated forces have recently made advances in the region, further complicating Yemen’s multi-layered crisis as the conflict enters a more dangerous phase.
