Dozens Killed in Recent Escalation of Violence in Sudan’s Darfur Region

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sudan‘s Darfur region has experienced a severe escalation in military clashes over recent days, leading to the deaths of dozens of civilians. Reports highlight the deteriorating humanitarian situation, with no safe areas available for displaced Sudanese citizens.
International organizations have warned of the escalating violence in Darfur, emphasizing the risk of the situation spiraling out of control. Local civil society organizations in Sudan have called for an immediate halt to attacks on civilian areas.
Even before the recent surge in violence, Darfur was grappling with a severe humanitarian crisis, including shortages in healthcare and food supplies. In just one week, 114 people were reported killed in clashes between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Army.
