Iraqi Resistance Groups Reject Disarmament Talks with Foreign Parties

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, six armed groups affiliated with the Iraqi Resistance have issued a joint statement under the banner of the ‘Resistance Coordination,’ firmly rejecting any negotiations with foreign parties regarding disarmament. The groups emphasized that any dialogue with the Iraqi government on this matter would only occur after the realization of full national sovereignty and the elimination of all forms of foreign occupation.
The statement was signed by the ‘Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades,’ ‘Karbala Brigades,’ ‘Ansar Allah al-Awfiya,’ ‘Harakat al-Nujaba,’ ‘Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq,’ and ‘Hezbollah Brigades.’ It also paid tribute to the martyrs Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who were killed by what the statement described as ‘the treacherous and criminal act of the U.S.’ The groups vowed to remain steadfast on the path of the martyrs, whose sacrifices they described as a guiding light for all honorable people.
The statement called on the future Iraqi government to prioritize several key issues, including transparency in public administration, the fight against corruption, the enactment of laws to protect national dignity, and the complete removal of foreign military presence from Iraqi soil and airspace. The groups also reiterated that the weapons of the resistance are sacred and essential for defending the country against threats such as ISIS, and any discussion about disarming must wait until Iraq is free from all foreign influence.
