West Bank Sees Unprecedented Surge in Israeli Settler and Military Attacks in 2025

Palestinian resistance officials report a dramatic escalation of violence in the West Bank, with over 23,000 attacks by Israeli forces and settlers recorded in 2025, alongside forced displacements and widespread property destruction.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Moayad Shaaban, head of the Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee, has revealed alarming statistics showing a sharp increase in attacks by Israeli occupation forces and settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank during 2025. The data highlights what officials describe as systematic violence in the occupied territories.

Shaaban reported that occupation forces and Zionist settlers committed 23,827 documented attacks against Palestinian citizens, their properties, lands, and religious sites throughout the year. The figures represent what Palestinian authorities call an unprecedented escalation of organized violence in the region.

The resistance official further disclosed that 14 Palestinians have been killed in direct settler attacks since the beginning of 2025, with most incidents occurring under the protection or with the tacit approval of Israeli military forces. Additionally, pressure tactics and harassment policies have forcibly displaced 13 Bedouin communities comprising 197 Palestinian families from their homes this year.

Destruction of Palestinian infrastructure has reached critical levels, with 1,400 residential and facility units demolished in 2025 alone. Another 991 structures have received official demolition orders during the same period, according to the committee’s report.

Al Jazeera, citing the committee’s findings, reported that Israeli occupation authorities now exercise operational control over approximately 41% of the total West Bank area. The occupation forces have established complete dominance over nearly 70% of so-called ‘Area C’ territories while seizing control of more than 90% of the Jordan Valley lands.

The report emphasizes that these measures form part of a deliberate Israeli policy to alter the West Bank’s demographic composition, expand settlements, and weaken the Palestinian presence in their own lands. Meanwhile, the Zionist media outlet Haaretz has reported a daily increase in the killing of Arab citizens within Palestine since the beginning of last year.
