Syrian sources report extensive deployments of internal security forces in Latakia and Tartus following recent widespread protests in the region.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian sources have reported significant movements of internal security forces, known as ‘Joulani forces,’ in the coastal cities of Latakia and Tartus. A security source informed Syrian television of the large-scale deployment but provided no further details.
The coastal regions of Syria have recently experienced widespread protests, which were met with forceful responses from the Joulani forces. The unrest has raised concerns over escalating tensions in the area.
