Venezuela’s Maduro Declares Innocence in US Court, Claims to Be a Prisoner of War

Nicolas Maduro, the elected and legitimate President of Venezuela, asserted his innocence in a US court, stating he is a prisoner of war following his forced extradition from Caracas.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nicolas Maduro, the elected and legitimate President of Venezuela, declared his innocence in a US court, describing himself as a prisoner of war. Maduro, who was forcibly extradited to New York after what he termed an American invasion of Caracas, made the statement during a court hearing related to terrorism and drug charges.

Maduro emphasized, ‘I am the President of Venezuela, and I consider myself a prisoner of war.’ He further detailed his arrest, stating, ‘I was detained in my home in Caracas.’ The Venezuelan leader firmly denied all allegations, asserting, ‘I am innocent, I am an honorable man, I am the President.’
