Venezuela Declares National Emergency, Orders Arrest of Supporters of US Military Intervention

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Venezuelan government has declared a national state of emergency and issued orders for the arrest of anyone involved in supporting or promoting a US military intervention in the country. The emergency decree, enacted in response to the US military’s detention of President Nicolas Maduro, grants Venezuelan security forces and police the authority to detain individuals or groups advocating for American military action.
The government stated that these measures are aimed at safeguarding national security and countering the repercussions of the US military operation. However, specific criteria for arrests and enforcement procedures have not yet been disclosed.
Last Saturday, US military forces, in a move condemned as a violation of international law, detained President Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, and transported them to New York to face federal charges related to drug trafficking.
