Trump’s Anti-Iran Rhetoric Aimed at Pleasing Zionist Lobby, Analyst Says

Donald Trump’s recent claims of readiness to ‘rescue’ Iranian protesters are dismissed as hollow rhetoric designed to appease the Zionist lobby, with analysts highlighting the contradiction between his statements and ongoing U.S. sanctions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump‘s latest remarks about being prepared to ‘rescue’ Iranian protesters have reignited international scrutiny over Washington’s interventionist rhetoric toward Iran. These statements come as U.S. sanctions are widely recognized as a primary factor exacerbating economic pressures on ordinary Iranians, revealing a stark contradiction between claims of support for the Iranian people and the continuation of policies that directly undermine their livelihoods.

In an interview with Pakistani analyst Javid Rana, the substance behind Trump’s warnings and promises was scrutinized. Rana questioned whether these statements reflect genuine concern for human rights or merely perpetuate the long-standing U.S. strategy of pressure against Iran. The interview also assessed the credibility and implications of renewed threats targeting Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.

Rana argued that Trump’s offer of support for Iranian protesters lacks logic, given the U.S. and Western history of exploiting Iran’s internal challenges. He dismissed the likelihood of any protest movement escalating into a larger uprising against the Iranian government, citing past failures of Western-backed efforts. Rana emphasized that the root cause of Iran’s economic struggles lies in U.S. and Western sanctions, questioning why these measures remain in place if genuine concern for Iranians exists.

Trump’s recent threats against Iran’s missile program were labeled as empty rhetoric, with Rana suggesting they stem from a desire to placate the influential Zionist lobby rather than any strategic intent. He noted that Trump’s maximal pressure policy, backed by Israel, has already failed, with Iran demonstrating its military resilience, particularly in missile technology. Rana concluded that neither the U.S. nor Israel is likely to risk further military confrontation with Iran, rendering Trump’s threats politically performative.
