Schumer Warns Against Trump Administration’s Dangerous Actions in Venezuela, Calls for Transparent Elections

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has strongly criticized the Trump administration’s unilateral military actions in Venezuela, labeling them as dangerous and demanding accountability. Schumer emphasized the need for transparent elections in Venezuela, stating that the U.S. should support such a process. He warned that military operations conducted without congressional approval cannot continue.
Schumer further expressed concerns over the lack of assurances from the Trump administration that similar interventions would not be repeated. He argued that U.S. interference in regime change efforts has proven detrimental to the country’s interests.
Independent Senator Bernie Sanders, in an interview, also condemned the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, calling it an illegal act that violates constitutional norms.
