Azerbaijan Rejects Trump’s Gaza Plan, Refuses to Deploy Troops

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has firmly rejected the idea of deploying troops to Gaza as part of an international force proposed under President Donald Trump’s plan. During a press conference, Aliyev revealed that Azerbaijan has prepared a list of 20 questions addressed to the U.S. government regarding the matter.
“We most likely will not send forces to Gaza,” Aliyev stated, emphasizing that Azerbaijan has no intention of participating in conflicts outside its borders. This aligns with previous reports from Hebrew-language media, which indicated Azerbaijan’s reluctance to join other nations in deploying troops to the region.
The proposed international force for Gaza, framed within Trump’s initiative, appears increasingly unfeasible as more countries express reservations. Azerbaijan’s stance underscores the challenges in implementing such a plan amid regional complexities.
