Venezuelan Opposition Leader Machado Offers Nobel Peace Prize to Trump in Bid for Support

Maria Corina Machado, a Venezuelan opposition leader, has publicly offered her Nobel Peace Prize to U.S. President Donald Trump in an attempt to gain his backing, following her rejection by President Nicolas Maduro’s government.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Maria Corina Machado, a prominent Venezuelan opposition figure, has made a public appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump by offering him her Nobel Peace Prize. In an interview with Fox News, Machado praised Trump as a peace-seeking and justice-oriented leader, stating she had initially intended to award him the prize.

Machado, once considered a leading candidate to assume power in Caracas before being sidelined by Maduro’s administration, expressed her desire to present the Nobel Peace Prize to Trump, claiming he deserved the honor. Analysts suggest her exclusion from political favor stems from her failure to transfer the prize to Trump as he had desired.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post reported that Trump has no plans to support Machado’s bid for Venezuela’s presidency, citing her reluctance to hand over the Nobel Prize as a key reason. Trump recently dismissed pro-Western factions in Venezuela, asserting that Machado lacks sufficient public support to govern effectively.
