Former French Military Chief Says Ukraine Cannot Achieve Military Victory Over Russia

Pierre de Villiers, former chief of France’s joint military staff, stated that Ukraine is incapable of achieving a military victory against Russia and called for a just peace through dialogue.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Pierre de Villiers, former chief of France’s joint military staff, has asserted that Ukraine cannot secure a military victory over Russia. He emphasized the necessity for both sides to pursue a just peace and resolve territorial disputes through negotiations.

De Villiers also highlighted the importance of providing sufficient guarantees to Ukraine to prevent renewed hostilities. He expressed hope for successful peace talks, stating that there is no military solution to the conflict.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously affirmed Moscow’s full commitment to any agreement ending the conflict, stressing the need for security guarantees for both Russia and Ukraine.
