Qatar Warns Against Escalating Tensions with Iran, Stresses Diplomatic Solutions
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar has issued a stern warning against escalating tensions with Iran, emphasizing that such actions would endanger not only regional stability but also the international community. Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, stated that Doha supports all diplomatic efforts and negotiations between Iran and the United States to achieve a peaceful resolution.
Al-Ansari further highlighted Qatar’s readiness to play a role in international initiatives aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the Venezuela crisis, noting ongoing communications with Venezuelan and U.S. parties. Additionally, he expressed Qatar’s support for Riyadh’s efforts to host Yemeni-Yemeni talks to address southern Yemen issues.
The spokesperson also mentioned Qatar’s engagement with conflicting parties in Sudan to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid without political exploitation. Regarding Gaza, Al-Ansari confirmed ongoing negotiations with U.S. officials to fully implement the ceasefire agreement and collaborate with mediating partners to reopen the Rafah crossing.
